Teeth that are chipped, but still in a reasonable condition,
can be fitted with porcelain veneers to restore them to
their original condition. The veneer is glued to the outside
of the tooth, and is difficult to distinguish from the other
teeth. Where a tooth is more badly damaged, it is more appropriate
to fit
a crown or cap. The tooth is trimmed back and the crown
is fitted on top like a sleeve.
